Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is comprised of appointed chair(s) and volunteers. This Committee seeks to guide the communications functions of SSTAGE, including newsletters, website development, and updates that help promote the mission of SSTAGE. The Committee Chair(s) reports to the Board with updates and input on SSTAGE communications activities. When necessary, final proposals regarding communications to members are presented to the Board and/or, when appropriate, to the President and Executive Director for approval or vote.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is chaired by the President and comprised of the Board Officers.
Governance and Nominating Committee
The Governance and Nominating Committee is co-chaired by the President-Elect and an active member of SSTAGE. The Governance Committee presents all proposed policy and procedures to the board for approval. The committee also communicates any proposed changes to the By-Laws to the SSTAGE membership for approval. In addition, the committee encourages members to run for office and coordinates the election process in accordance with the policy and procedures for elections.
Membership Committee
The membership committee is comprised of appointed chair(s) and volunteers who serve on the committee which seeks to increase SSTAGE membership. The membership committee presents all final proposals to the board and/or when appropriate to the President and Executive Director for approval.
Professional Learning Committee
The Professional Learning Committee Chair is appointed by the President and approved by Board vote. The Chair serves a one-year term and works with the volunteers who serve on the Professional Learning Committee (hospitality greeters, workshop assistants/time keepers, etc.). The Professional Learning Committee presents all final proposals to the board and/or when appropriate to the President and Executive Director for approval or vote prior to conferences or workshops.
Research and Best Practices Committee
The Research and Best Practices Committee chair is appointed by the President and approved by Board vote. The Chair serves a one-year term and works with the volunteers who serve on the Research and Best Practices Committee. The committee presents all research and best practices findings to the board and/or when appropriate to the President and Executive Director for discussion.
